Celtic Grooves
Celtic Grooves Imports was started in 1999 by Philippe Varlet, a French-born musician who has been playing and teaching Irish music since 1977. He is a respected music authority who often contributes to the IRTRAD-L listserv. Philippe realized that many fine recordings of Irish traditional music had little or no distribution in the US, despite a strong interest by musicians and Irish music lovers here, and decided to make them more easily available by importing them and selling them on the internet. He reviews most, if not all, of the recordings he carries and distributes a regular e-newsletter reviewing new releases.

English Folk Dance Project
The English Folk Dance Music Project makes, collects and preserves recordings of the dance tunes and songs that are commonly heard in connection with the traditional English dance. The eventual aim is to create a collection of recorded tunes which will serve both as a reference for the future, and as a source of entertainment. The first volume of this series, "The Folk Dance Music of the Cotswolds" is underway and will include five musical CDs and a CD ROM of audio visual material. A quiescent discussion group exists.

Harms Historical Percussion
Harms Historical Percussion was started in 1989 by Ben Harms with the goal of providing high-quality "historically informed" instruments to the early music field at a reasonable cost. It turned out that many of the "historical" instruments (e.g., the tabors and hand drums) have changed so little over the past 500 years that they are just as suitable for modern folk musicians and "classical" percussionists. Harms tabors are especially valued by morris musicians.

Musical Traditions
Musical Traditions was originally published as a paper magazine covering many aspects of traditional music and traditions having some associated musical content. Its coverage was not limited to any one country or continent, and reflected the interests of its editors and contributors. It was unable to sustain a viable subscription base in this format and folded. In 1996, it was relaunched as an online, free magazine with a similar intent and focus. The online magazine publishes articles, CD and book reviews, extensive discographies, lists of live music sessions, and lists of web links. A CD-ROM version of the magazine is available. Musical Traditions also produces a line of CDs of important music which is not commercially available.

Shave the Donkey
An online newspaper for the morris community. Quite a lot of fun, really. Submissions are encouraged by anyone with news to share. At one time, the newspaper was actively seeking correspondents from the major morris organizations and from morris teams, however it appears to be on hiatus now as the most recent entry dates from 2002.
The bookshop is a combined bibliography and discography with links to the UK Amazon. It is quite a nice finding aid for some of the more mainstream morris and folk related materials. However, it too is not being updated.
