- Carnival Morris
- It is hard to fit Carnival Morris or "fluffy morris" (derogatory) into the schema of morris traditions partly because there is almost no literature on it. Mike Heaney notes in his morris bibliography: "This is a twentieth-century development from North-West morris. Because of this, and because of the fact that it is danced almost exclusively by young girls, "purists" have often tried to deny its place in descriptions of traditional ceremonial dance forms; but it is difficult to formulate a defensible definition of morris which excludes it. ... Pruw Boswell's books (nos.121,122) trace the early stages of the move from adult male to juvenile female dance form."

- Morris Dancers Net
- Carnival morris is of a different bent than street performing variety. Their web-site describes themselves thusly: "Lets just start by setting the record straight, on this site when we say Morris Dancing we are talking about teams of well trained girls dancing their socks off week in and week out in the name of competition and most of all FUN!" There are links to troupes, carnival morris associations, and music.
